CLUBTREFFEN 2008 |

|
Het 9e clubtreffen heeft plaats gevonden van 30-5 t/m 01-06 op camping "De Biggenhof" te Holsloot. In totaal waren ongeveer 70 motoren aanwezig.

BELEVING VAN ENGELSE BODEM: BELEVING VAN DE VOORZITTER VAN "THE KETTLE CLUB" UK: All of us who came over from the UK have now recovered from the superb rally that was held in Holsloot. I personally enjoyed this and previous rally so much that I thought it was about time I asked if I could join your club.
Antoin Guy (Mullet Ed) Karl Wim Our old classic motorcycles managed to get us there and back without much fuss. Unlike the old classic riders on them, who, I can only say from personnel experience of a 1450 kilometres round trip were a bit worst for wear on their return home. But hey it was well worth it!
UK meeting point by Nijmegen bridge On
behalf of all who made the journey from the UK thank you all so much for a
great time and a special thank you for your efforts in obtaining medical
help for Nigel, who has now fully recovered. BELEVING VAN GUY (MULLET ED) VAN "THE KETTLE CLUB" UK: Hello to all the members of the T> Club. This is from all the Kettle Club members from the UK. Let me start by saying a big thank you to all the kind people that helped our good friend Nigel who needed to go to hospital, our thanks go out to Haije who took charge of making sure that Nigel was looked after by the hospital, also to Anton who helped sort things out before Nigel arrived and to Benny who made sure that other issues were also taken care of, there were also the wives of these people whom I never got the names of but your kindness will be remembered by all of us that made the trip to your annual rally, you all helped us out thank you. So let’s talk about your “Treffen”, as with the last 2 years “Treffens” we from the UK have enjoyed making this trip to see our friends in Holland and Germany, this year as you could tell we brought more bikes, 22 in total and everyone’s bike made it. Once we arrived it was good to see familiar faces and start talking with you all. The ride on Saturday was brilliant and what a great idea to take the ride to where there was a show of old style costumes and guns, we all really enjoyed it, as we say each year your “Treffen” keeps getting better and better and this year was no exception, your choice of venue was great. the camping area was well laid out and spacious. As for the choice of meats for the BBQ we all really enjoyed it, thank you for letting Kevin and myself take charge of the BBQ as you might have gathered we both really enjoyed it ,we hope you all did too, we were also lucky with the weather again this year. May I say that I made some new friends this year and hope that I will see them next year, but before that we have our own annual rally in Wales which I know Frans, Arnoud ,vim and Peter will be making the trip back to the UK this year and we look forward to seeing you all again, hopefully with better weather. So that is it from me, as normal I enjoyed getting our Club members over to Europe to see you all and hope to carry on doing it for a long time, until we all meet again I hope you all have a very safe and happy time on your Kettles. Thanks again, Guy Taylor (Mullet Ed)
